This project involved creating a youth-focused news piece for BBC Radio 1’s Newsbeat, tailored for both radio broadcast and social media. Acting as a Social Media Reporter, the task is to condense an existing article into an engaging 30-second script suitable for a vertical 9:16 video, with a voiceover generated using AI Software. The content incorporated sensory elements such as soundbites or sound effects to make the story feel immersive. The outcome prioritises strong audio storytelling first, followed by visually engaging content using a mix of stills and video, while strictly adhering to the project brief and tools used in class.
